Junior got the job and look where we are now. Do you think the way he has governed has anything to do with his drop from 90% approval to 40 or less.

If you heard the TV talk shows today, we know that Bush is in for a even larger drubbing in front of the US public.

The Senate Intelligence Committee chair who somewhat supported Bush on Friday on the domestic eavesdropping issue came out yesterday against Bush. He turned around probably at the goading of fellow Repub Sen. Specter and the Vice Chair of his committee Sen. Rockfeller.

The EU ambassadors were on TV (Wolf Blitzer). They advocated a cautious approach with Hamas. They felt optimistic about Hamas, they displayed patience in dealing with Hamas and felt optimistic that they would succeed in turning Hamas around. Unlike the Bush approach of a military solution as the first choice.

I would hope that Bush has learnt that making military the first choice is not the best option and that diplomacy is a win-win situation instead. Ask Gen. Powell that. After all he has been a military person as well as a diplomat. He should know better. It is a shame that Bush sidelined him.
