The point isn't energy efficiency or even eliminating pollution. The point of my post was showing how we could reduce our oil consumption by 75%. Ramp up on the use of ethanol alone would get us there. Then ramp up on nuke power plants for electricity and we could use that to get that first 30-35 miles on the car every day. The arguments you use are the same ones the car makers and oil giants use to keep us from ever doing anything to get off the oil.
