Mindmeld, The point of my post was showing how we could reduce our oil consumption by 75%. Funny thing about ethanol is that to "grow" one gallon of ethanol, we'll have to expend more than the amount of energy in that one gallon. As for plug-in hybrids, that's not yet a viable technology until we find some big leaps in battery capacity. We're a very long way from reducing oil consumption by 75%. I'd be really happy if we reduce it by 25% ... Tenchusatsu
