Boy, Holly, you just pegged my idea of a wonderful travel day! I like to talk to the local people too, but don't feel it is necessary to go sit in some gutter to do it.

I so public speaking about Pioneer Women, and one of the reasons I do is just the one you mentioned. I really am in awe as to how they 'did it'.....A woman's nature is pretty much the same, and even if the times were different, most of the women I know enjoy a clean place, flowers, and people areound her that are a joy to be with. The place doesn't have to be fancy, but does have to be tidy, and clean....even if there is a dirt floor.
