well, I don't know. I know there was once a company called Kaufman and Broad, and now there is KB homes. If Kaufman and Broad did go under it would have been around 1990. But why this new company? Elroy who knows the industry probably knows. My suspicions would be that Kaufman and Broad did a BK, and therefore were able to start with a clean slate with KB homes and avoid all the lawsuits.
