I don't watch the winter games, either. Not because of the racial balance. But pointing out that there are almost no black people isn't racist. It's a fact.

As for whether a snowboarder can be called an "athlete" when compared to someone who excels at field, track, swimming, etc. -- well, seems to me that this is in the eye of the beholder.

You could make a good argument in favor of bowlers as athletes, too. I just wouldn't.
