I think he has. It's hard to get a grip on the whole story. The MSM is still stuck on stupid with Cheney. And as usual most of their reporting on the ports story is their typical shrieking, hysterics & Bush bashing, rather than context & details.

I did hear there are assurances this has been thoroughly vetted. While that may be the case, this is one place where perceptions will matter more than reality.

I expect the DNC & MSM to latch on this one big time. They will play the "fear card" to hype a perceived lapse in port safety. I guess they think we won't notice the hypocrisy of them constantly accusing Bush of abusing the "fear card" with their claims of over exaggerating the WOT.
