But invading Iraq, torture, rendition and endrunning the Constitution were both unnecessary and dangerous to our security and our democracy. The operative word there is "were." The Dems have a problem in that they wouldn't have done those things and fault those who did, which is fine as far as it goes, but now is not then. We can't get a do-over. So they need a plan for getting from where we are now to where they would like to see us. Up until now they've been focused on what they wouldn't have done and what a mess was made. They can't or won't offer anythng on where we go from here. It's a very sticky place for them to be. I don't know if they can win either way.
