The Republican line will be, "Saving the homeland is a tough, sometimes messy business but we stuck it out and took the war to our enemies, and did what was necessary."

Lots of people may disagree with that statement but it's a sound bite you can deliver with conviction at a campaign rally or a TV debate. The Dems badly need a credible rebuttal. Remember, the game is convincing the unconvinced, not just repeating how wrong the Dems think Bush was.
