Bush-Cheney turned out to be poor commanders in chief. If you read Sun Tzu's ART OF WAR you realize that the #1 quality of a good commander is HONESTY, with himself and others. That is, if you wage war based on misinformation, delusions of grandeur or insincere reasoning, you will likely lose.

Bush's "victory" speeches in December sure sounded good, but they were hollow, had no basis in reality and were therefore misleading. Actually Howard Dean was right. We can't "win" in Iraq. All we can do now that Bush has bungled it so badly is some smart damage control. Which means Murtha and Kerry's plans.
