One beer? I thought it was no alcohol? Hmmm why change the story?

And yes one beer can impair your judgement. It depends on the type and volume of the beer and body type and weight of the person. And it depends on the number of beers consumed as well...for which there have been conflicting reports. I know a person that had a single beer with lunch. Left the restaurant and was pulled over. The officer asked him if he had been drinking. He said yes, one beer. The breathalyzer had him at .08 BAC, which was the limit. He was charged and convicted of DUI.
