Yes.. It might be.. But that's why we have to hold the Iraqi's government's feet to the fire, or put them in a situation where they feel compelled to ask us to leave.

You might have noticed that the we sent a "warning shot" across the bow of the Iraqi ship of state.

Al Jafaari lashed back and told the US/UK not to interfere in their internal affairs.

This is what needs to happen, IMO. The warning has been sent. We're threatening to cut them off from our purse strings. And we're putting them in a position of having to make some very hard decisions, one of which might be to reveal whether they truly have the desire for a unified government, or are merely pawns of the Iranians.

If the latter, then we're likely to leave them to their own because we have no interest in facilitating the consolidation of an Iranian proxy state.

But once again, it's important to put the Iraqi government in the position where they have to "fish or cut bait" in displaying their true intentions for the future of Iraq.
