Folks in NY are ballistic on this issue. This is a common sense issue that was decided without common sense. Who would choose to create another fiasco, one week after the cheney shooting. And now bush has taken the principled stand and even threatens a veto (would be his 1st) if congress overrules this. It boggles from both a security perspective and from a political one. Now the republicans have given the democrats ammunition on the one thing the republcans always had in the bag--issues of National security.
