"I would love to see the percentages of schools and libraries." Don't hold your breath. This is a truthiness issue, no facts required. Are there books that have been banned from various libraries and classrooms? Sure. But this is hardly a new phenomena. About the only issue I've ever seen that really gets a librarian's back up, other than talking loudly, is a request to remove books from the shelves. ala.org
