I agree that Linux is a superior OS, but it will not deliver on its potential unless the non-microsoft world rallies around it and promotes it as aggressively as Microsoft promotes its products. The creation of an organization chartered to distribute Linux as pubic domain and hype it to developers, the press, the market, as well as support it... (possibly funded by a group of anti-Microsoft interests - somewhat akin to Javasoft) would be the minimum needed, but the odds of this happening would be very slim, since it would be difficut to implement and to justify in the short term.
