Soho drills 18.19 g/t Au over 4.57 m at Tahuehueto

2006-02-22 10:45 ET - News Release

Mr. Frank Port reports

DDH-05-33 RETURNS THREE MINERALIZED INTERSECTIONS AND CONFIRMS GEOLOGICAL MODEL AT TAHUEHUETO, INDICATING POTENTIAL FOR LARGE SCALE POLY-METALLIC DEPOSIT ALONG THE EL CRESTON TREND

Soho Resources Corp. has received assay results from its Tahuehueto polymetallic mineral project in Durango state, Mexico. At this time, the company discusses four diamond drill holes, two from the El 1225 oreshoot and two from the down-dropped faulted area between the El Creston and Cinco De Mayo zones, plus surface sampling results which extends the Cinco De Mayo zone on surface an additional 200 metres north-northeast, trending toward the El Creston zone.

"The drill results outlined in this release complete the analytical information for our 2005 exploration program returning very significant polymetallic values. In particular, DDH-33, drilled to 435.6 metres (1,307 feet), has successfully tested the area between El Creston and Cinco De Mayo zones where management predicted that the productive horizon would occur in a down-dropped fault block at depth. Strong base metal numbers with moderate gold and silver values contained in mineralization visually identical to mineralization within the El Creston and Cinco De Mayo oreshoots confirms that the mineralized structure is present in the down-dropped fault block, and we now have our target for future drilling along this El Creston trend which will allow us to build significant resources over a minimum 2.4-kilometre strike length," said Ralph Shearing, president and chief executive officer.

DDH-05-34 and DDH-05-35 successfully tested the El 1225 oreshoot below the 1,200-metre elevation, continuing to extend this oreshoot and the El Creston zone southward. Highlights include an intersected width on DDH-05-34 of 9.14 metres (probable true width of 4.57 metres) grading 5.50 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 70.60 g/t silver, 0.46 per cent copper, 4.01 per cent lead and 1.90 per cent zinc equating to a 12.96 g/t gold equivalent grade. Continued excellent results on this El 1225 oreshoot are outlining a very robust oreshoot and drilling is continuing with at least four more holes planned and under way on this oreshoot to test both its down dip and southern extensions.
