Again, I agree, but it's also true of Britain, France, Holland, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Germany, etc. Giles Keppel has an interesting book entitled The War for Muslim Minds which is always fourth on my list of books to read, in which he argues the big issue of the future is what happens to Muslim populations in Europe. He's, of course, not the only one to argue such.
But these are Brits who get recruited into jihad movements. So the British/Dubai cut doesn't work quite as strongly for me.
I still don't know enough.
So, at this point in my discussion with my wife, she put down the coffee cup, gave me the first section of the Times, and headed upstairs to her study. ;-) |
