while the idea of even a small chunk of the general purpose CPU market seems pretty juicy, EMS's own marketing seems directed towards time critical imbedded applications like routers, switches and DSP based devices. at 16mb, the devices aren't dense enough, the devices are too expensive to serve as system memory, and IBM as a second source isn't enough. classic chicken and egg. BUT, on the other hand, if system board could support both SDRAM simms and ESDRAM/EDRAM simms at the same time, entry could be much easier... -rich
