I don't think Japan will change anything anytime soon. They are pleased with the status quo. The last thing they want is an unwind of the yen carry trade.

They will only come off the zirp when the market forces them to do so. That means inflation takes off in Japan and long term jpy yields go meaningfully higher.

Until then, I think Japan is very happy maintaining the current policy.
