It's old news that he had WMDs in the 1980s and 90s... If, as you insist, Saddam had a stash of WMDs and nuke technology that posed a "real threat" to America at the time of the invasion, then they pose an equal, if not greater threat today, if they are in Syrian hands. If the WMDs posed an imminent and real threat to America when Saddam had them, why is the President not protecting us from them now? Who knows what the Syrians might do with these powerful weapons of mass destruction.... I hear a lot insurgents make their way into Iraq from Syria... I don't see the soldiers in Iraq these days worrying too hard on the chemical weapons front. Maybe the lack of interest in protecting us from this Syrian WMD threat has something to do with their not being one...
