Mish,
I don't know about China, but in India cheaper? May be in Engineering and Arts but not in medical schools as they are demanding a lot of $$ if you are from US or from outside.
Actually it is much harder to get into a top school than here.
The competition is freaking unbelievable even at high schools.
There is no such thing as school district and zoning.
So most of our kids will have tough time getting in there unless they prepare well. Imagine they have 1.1billion people and have less number of universities than here.

do not know who can even afford to send their kids to school here either. How long before we start sending our kids to China and India to study, not only because its cheaper but because they will get a better education as well?
