I have utmost regard for most medical professionals

I do, too, but it isn't blind faith.

I once had gastric pains that were suggestive to me of appendicitis, so I read up on it, then went to my GP, who told me it was time to go to the surgeon since it looked like I had appendx.

The surgeon pushed and pushed for the surgery, but the damn appendix couldn't be visualized in a sonogram and my white blood cell count was not high. I told him, "No surgery" until you see that so-called inflamed appendix and my white cell count goes up.

Of course, vbg, I was right, I had every symptom of appndx except an inflamed appendix, LOL. Surgeon was very pissed at me, got his vengeance when he made me go through a barium enema which I couldn't really refuse thanks to my mystery pain, which was substantial. Still don't know what caused it. It went away by itself.
