Right on, Chinu!
Steve has been very fair and open minded!
In light of changing circumstances all around, like for example when Moslems were allowed to voice their protests on Temple Mount in Jerusalem and Europeans enjoyed the liberty to print Muhammed cartoons, he feels it is all right to accommodate topics other than those that would make this thread unabashedly pro-US, pro-Israel and pro-Democracy, as was intended originally. All these pro- stuff, to me, is really tantamount to making this thread a rah-rah cheerleading and praising thread, not unlike souls in Heaven chanting Hosannas and Alleluias all day long, eternally! To me anyway, that is not a healthy thing. Neither stimulating nor productive! And a sheer waste of bandwidth!
I posted topics that were directly or indirectly related to the War on Terror. It is regretable that too many posters do not see it that way. Perhaps that was because of their inadequate knowledge of, or interest in, history, lack of appreciation of the law of cause and effect, or simply because they are excessively jingoistic, bigoted and ignorant. I have hoped that readers would be able to see the events unfolding today actually have had their origins in the thoughts and actions of people in the past. In other words, the circumstances for today's events were actually set in motion in the past. You may not appreciate this fact. But those who have studied history and/or are steeped in mysticism know this to be a self-evident truth.
So what response did I get for my posts? No debate but outright churlishness, insults, ridicule, sarcasm, and name-calling.
What I have often seen here is this: if any poster disagrees with me or doesn't like my posts, s/he throws accusations at me and expects other posters to agree with her/him, and when they didn't, they get condemned one way or another. And one poster unashamedly admitted s/he was baiting me and that I was too silly not to realize that. Imagine all this in return for being good enough to reply to that specimen!
I posted opinions that I often agree with. They were written by professionals who supposedly know their topics. I do this because I have found from experience that if I posted my own opinions, I would be told offhand to mind my own business. So I have been conveniently resorting to posting professionally written materials ()with URLs available for verification.
I know that some folks have asked for my ouster from this thread because they thought I was a "dangerous" poster. Then the same guys later thought I was not that "dangerous" after all. LOL. Some folks put me on ignore and just as quickly came out of it, yo-yo style. Gee! what a compliment: evidently they find meat in my posts, eh? And some came out of ignore just to read my posts and quickly put me back on ignore again to prevent me from communicating with them. What hypocrites! LOL!
I suspect the reason why some posters would not want to debate is the fear that what they believe and hold so dear is actually suspect or have no basis at all. . |
