Has anybody besides me taken note of the Saddam trial? Who is in charge there? It seems that Saddam controls the whole thing by misbehaving and boycotting.

Why is this tolerated? Why don't the judges make Saddam pay a price for his actions? Such as, if you boycott, the trial goes on AND YOU ARE BOUND BY THE TESTIMONY GIVEN IN YOUR ABSENCE, since you were not there to participate according to your right.
