Settlement finally got done: post-accident expenses --- $22k medical, $5k lost income to crosswalk pedestrian. State Farm, insurer of the driver, however, pays only $17k. But that's not the best. After settlement of my stuff is signed off, State Farm now comes after pedestrian to cover repairs to their driver's vehicle: $1200. Pedestrian's body broke driver's bug guard as he got in the way of her Honda Element's front hood. (Sheesh, I knew I had gained a couple pounds over the years, but .... )

Cost of irony: priceless.
