Lets be honest here Steve. Everyone needs a scapegoat and thats what we have become. Most of those folks just cant deal with the reality of civil war on their doorsteps. Will Bagdad look like Beirut of 20 years ago sometime soon? I dont blame them for that and the US has a share of the blame no doubt. You would trace that blame from going to war in the first place. I trace it from the post victory dance from where it all fell apart. I think if the war in iraq was run like the gulf war and we had used overwhelming force and got off to a good start in pacification, the outcome might have been quite different. But we will never know and even i have some doubts about the above as well. Since hindsight is always 20/20 the real question is what do we do from here on. Do folks like geode, syl and chris continue to hurl insults or do we all sit down and try to determine whats best for US interests going forward? I would be interested in your take on what we should do now and later if this in fact turns into civil war. Mike
