I didn't say the US didn't support Iraq and have some common interests. The "not really" was in response to "Saddam was a great ally not so very long ago"

You post was pretty long but I skimmed through all of it, and made sure to read all the bolded parts. Nothing I saw supports the idea that Saddam was "a great ally".
