How many calories are in those virtual doughnuts from the CyberPatrol Doughnut Shop?

Well, Cisco, the actual number of calories per doughnut is a closely-guarded secret. And it depends on whether the doughnut is one of the glazed varieties (plain or jelly-filled), a cake doughnut (plain or frosted), or the kind which is formulated with concrete and sold as a bagel.

However, to be helpful and to give you a feel for the virtual richness of these palatable pastries, we recently performed the following test:

Into the firebelly of a Bessemer furnace, we placed one baker's
dozen, frosted cake doughnuts. Upon igniting the provender,
flames could be seen shooting up in a most satisfactory manner.
With only this fuel supply to provide the calories, we were able
to promptly melt two and one-half kilos of high-carbon steel in
two and one-half minutes. A calorimeter would have gone off scale.

Rest assured, though, that these are merely virtual calories, provoking only virtual myocardial infarctions mediated by virtual cholesterol - virtually speaking, that is.

Buy the way do you know how they make the holes?

Uuuhhh ... Yyeeessss ... but if you're thinking of the same joke I am, we'd better take this one to e-mail. <g>

Just remember:

As you trek through life, my friend,
Whatever be your goal,
Keep your eye upon the doughnut
And not upon the hole.
