Whoops...

Bill.....

Hemp starting to happen, bro.

Talked with my friend from NorCal NORML yesterday. Hemp Bill thru the Assembly, and, he believes, the Senate, just waiting on Gov. Roidboy's signature. He's gonna start a 10 acre demo project as soon as that happens. We were talkin' 'bout a hemp bale house and biofuel. Currently looking for funding. Told him I would spam for him. Might get involved with his farm project, too. I just saw that CCOF, the organic certifier, was the first ag group to back the bill. Sounds like a good sustainable project to me :>)

Shameless spam, cuz it's my thread. Dane's the guy I went to NO with.

--Dear Friends,
Northern California NORML is a nonprofit organization that has been created to educate the public of Northern California on the costs, benefits, and potential outcomes of Cannabis use. This includes legalization, social aspects, economics, and laws regarding this issue. This will be achieved by a balanced and unbiased presentation of the facts, with the focus being on Personal Responsibility, Respect and Integrity.
" Providing quality services to all of our clients, regardless of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, mental or physical disabilities or ability to pay for services.
" Showing sensitivity and caring.
" Being accountable and responsive to our communities needs.
" Pursuing professional excellence.
" Providing education in a manner that is designed to raise awareness and give the public the tools needed to reach informed decisions

This has been a challenging year for all of us in the Mendocino community. We are in the midst of the direct effects of Cannabis Prohibition. Unfortunately the folks in our community that are significantly affected by this are the legitimate Medical Marijuana patients.

In an attempt to assist in the resolution of these challenges. We are focusing on community based solutions that have the potential of uniting, strengthening and bringing us together.

" Development of a Community Advisory Board and Creation of a Ukiah Cannabis Collective... This would be designed as an educational, research and best practices center. This would be overseen by the community advisory board.
" We will be developing in conjunction with the Best Practices center, a working Industrial Hemp farm that will be focused on providing jobs, training and retraining the folks who will be displaced by legalization. This includes opening our doors to all underserved portions of our population.

As a "locally grown" non-profit agency, we are subject to the same business standards as any other. This means that we have many expenses we will incur while operating as a liason between the community "at large" and officials within the local government, businesses, churches, schools, groups of various sorts and individuals. We are here to be certain that the will of the people is adhered to. Yet we can only do this with the full support of the community and not just the cannabis community. We are all in this together. We all have been waiting patiently for an opportunity such as this, so please make the most of it by supporting us financially.
Education is liberation, but not yet free. We desperately need your helping us offset the cost of some of these expenses. Our initial start up capital, gifted to us from annyonmous donors, is nearly gone.
Please feel free to call us, stop by in person(even better),visit our website (norcalnorml.org)- Pay pal friendly- or mail any tax deductable donations to our office.
We will be gathering $250,000 this year with the goal in three years $10,000,000.

Thank you for your support in this moment of need.

With sincere Thanks,

Dane Wilkins
Executive Director

Northern California NORML is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Federal Tax ID# 20-143656
