TJ, you didn't think those $billions of freshly pixelated promissory notes were ever intended to be converted to something real and of value did you?

Americans, like heroin addicts, and cigarette smokers, are hooked. They will have a lot of trouble letting go. I doubt that they can. Most people go down with the ship of their false beliefs. Check out Globalstar [and my money] for example. My false belief was that confronted with reality, the Globalstar management would change their ideas. Silly me. Their false belief was that they were right and everyone else was wrong. I know people are irrational.

Changing beliefs is not for the faint-hearted.

Foreign people with US$ aren't supposed to buy something useful, like a port, they are supposed to buy expensive junk products Made in the USA. Such as a Happy Meal and Starbucks coffee.
