Dipy, the Bushies are running around scared shit. They are closely working with FOX News now as a last resort. The conservatives are widely split on the UAE port issue. They have had it from Bush. Many of them are pandering to the American public since they know that they will have to face the electorate and give an accounting of their "checks and balance" role. According to a Rassmussen poll 43% believe that the Democrats have an edge over Bush on national security issue versus 41% think the other way around. I think Bil Kristol knew this was coming when the other day he said that the ports issue makes Hillary look like she is more to the right of Bush on national security. The beginning of the doom in Iraq has started. Huge demonstrations in Lebanon chanting "US troops get out of Iraq". Very soon a fallout of that chant will echo here too with the chant being "Bush get out of the White House." Cone on to the Kerry thread and see Dan B. going haywire. Others like lorne etc. have bolted. The neocons are on notice.
