High Karen, We haven't corresponded in quite some time, so am happy to hear from you. I have been astray, and without time to follow all of the threads I once haunted.
The earth is already becoming over populated, so having more children is not the answer. What all western countries must do, is knuckle down on causing our children to get the best education that is possible. One thing we would have to do first, though, is clense acadamia from biased teachers, and professors. The class room is not the right place for personal opinions to be taught to open minds. Like Sgt. Friday said, "just the facts, Maam". We, also, need to put the history books back to the truth rather than what has been considered to be politically correct. We had some bad Presidents. So what? The truth needs to be told, or truth will never be never be the corner stone of democracy. The United Nations did not win WW2, the Allies did. Not the same thing.
GW, is an intelligent, and sly, man. He uses a concept that many southerners, and especially Texans have used for decades. They put on that "awe shucks" persona, as they shuffle their boots on the floor to indicate anxiousness, and that totally disarms many of the NE yankees, and gives them the confidence that they are superior, while the Texan is dancing around him and hog tying him into a corner.
Kings, Queens, and dictators are a bane on the earth. Either they render their countries inert, or they try to change the world to their thinking. In those cases, the people are not completely free, and people that are not free cannot contribute to the growth, and peace, on earth in the most proper way.
If a dictatorship has nukes, and starts to rattle their sabers, we will have to make the charge of the brigade, with our own nukes. That will be a sad day, and many of the innocents will die. Our weapons, including the nukes, are better made, and aimed, and delivered, than what the rest can put together without being noticed, so although we will be hurt, I believe we out gun them, and will, in the end, will win. If we don't, that may be the end of the earth as we have known it. |
