Your posts are always a treat but you know, you too would be fired from Harvard for saying what you say. Speaking of Harvard, you should read Tierneys op ed piece in the NYTimes today.
Summary:
1. students 3-1 for summers in polls.
2. business, law, and med school profs for summers because they understand that the reputation of the school is at stake.
3. The rest of the profs are a bunch of paleo-liberals who summers privately calls reactionarys who avoid work and teach courses that mirror their latest books. No american history classes but comparative western hemisphere revolution course comparing US rev to Haiti as if they are in the same category of events.
4. academia is the only place in the world where the consumers who pay 41k/year have no say. Student revolt of the sixties against reactionary administrations put the lazy anti american profs into power some 40 years later. As a student back then this is not what we intended.

From Tierneys comments i suspect once again that the Clintons understand the danger on the reactionary, isolationsist, jimmy carter, anti-american power left. So if Hillary does win at least she wont be howard dean or al gore and we will survive.
