Secretary Snow, the guy who chaired the secret panel that approved the deal.

And just how does Secretary Snow personally benefit from this?

I truly am interested to know if there is support for your statement.

I'm not happy about the British running our ports either.

Nor am I, however, it appears that there are no American port management companies with the ability or interest in making the upgrades required by Homeland Security.

Wonder why that is?

I've heard speculation that it's because of the heavy union presence on the waterfront, but I've seen no actual proof of that.

Look, I'm typically not a knee-jerk person, and am generally considered liberal on most issues, but this is a no-brainer, if we are serious about security we take matters into our own hands.

In the absence of an American company stepping to the plate, its either a foreign owned company or the government. I think we don't want to see a Port Management Service ("PMS") as a component of the Transportation Department.
