Anyway, both of them have called me in the last few days telling me they think Bush must be on drugs or that maybe he is some kind of idiot afterall. I think the ports deal was the last straw for them. Now keep in mind, that my whole family is about as Republican as you can get. My father even went so far as to predict that Republicans will lose the majority in both houses and that the next President will be Democratic, because of Bush and his idiocy. Now that is a prediction that I'm starting to believe myself.

I don't quite understand what they were thinking. On the one hand, I don't think a firm should be denied simply because its a Muslim firm ,or a backed by a Muslim state. On the other hand, I don't understand why you would not go through extensive background checking to insure security is in place when dealing with something as important as the ports.

I can't figure out if its simply incompetence, or some kind of backroom conspiracy. And why all the leaks......why are so many in this administration willing to risk their jobs to get info out to the public?
