As I've said repeatedly before, the government does Social Security quite well. When it was developed it lifted seniors out of poverty which is a good thing except in the most venal of worlds. It would toddle along just fine through the baby boomer/baby buster years if the cap on income was taken away.

Your argument about past and future worth still makes you worth only a tiny fraction of what bill Gates, and heck the Enron guys, were worth. That's a sad way to think.
