It's precisely your friend's experience that troubles me.

Configuring wireless networks is a challenge for Mac or PC. That friendly green one-touch button on the Linksys is a brilliant marketing move. <g>

If you haven't used a Mac since the Power PC versions, you are in for a treat. OS X is essentially UNIX married to that beautiful Mac GUI. Mine has not crashed in three years, although I will restart it occasionally so that it can retrieve any leaked RAM.

Having said all this, I have not used the Intel Macs, so you may want to take my advice with the proverbial grain of sodium chloride.

Just curious, why are you considering a Mac?
