Tom, I could have HBO and a couple of others for what I am paying now, but would rather not mess with a converter box. I went that route with Century Cable. It was a genuine pain to have to program both the box and the VCR when I wanted to tape something. For openers, you had to make sure the times and dates were in sync on both devices and then make sure everything else matched up. A royal pain!

Once you use broadband you never want to go back to dialup. Another nice thing is that on cable you are always "on." Walk by the computer and check things out rather than waiting for a connection. I can tell you that that alone saves just oodles of time--so much time that you get almost a whole 'nother life. <g> - Holly
