As far as I could see, there is no where in the linked blog that supports your comment that ABC is the source.

His political leanings don't really matter,

Of course they matter.........that's all that seems to matter these days. And his political leanings seem to follow a pattern that has become all too familiar in the last decade.

ABC is the source, besides if he was the source if you automatically and totally discount anything said by people with different political leanings you put yourself in a cocoon and isolate yourself information and ideas that could be useful. Some of Bush's opponents have claimed he does this. Perhaps he does. Whether or not he does there is no good reason for you to do so.

How can anyone who is at all left/neutral and aware isolate themselves from the right or reality these days? The philosophy of the right is in our faces 24/7. Your president has been successful at keeping the coffins off the screen, but the death announcements do not stop as we lose more and more people in Iraq. With each passing day, there are more and more local, important programs that go unfunded because the current administration of the right has other priorities. The national deficit grows by leaps and bounds because of the failed economics of the right. A hurricane embarrasses a proud nation in front of the world and uncovers what has become a permanent underclass in the US inspite of the increase in wealth distribution programs as suggested by your blogger. And even that doesn't motivate the current administration of the right to do the right thing.

For those of us who love this country, we are dismayed and discouraged to see what is happening. There is no place to isolate......its like a very bad movie being played in the round from which there is no escape. I've started watching Oprah on a regular basis only because she is doing something positive......a rare thing in these disunited states these days.

So don't tell me I am in a cocoon and I am not listening. I have listened to rightie rhetoric for 6 long, unpleasant years and its been mostly wrong.
