I am aware of that and numbers are not the issue. Saving one may make hero. The problem was that it was not done until few months before the end of war and even then he acted under instructions from swedish government. Swedish government was concerned, and that is not a secret, that they might be held responsible for cooperating with Nazis during WWII. Swedish government was in excellent position to help civilian prisoners before then but what Nazis did not bother them that much until it was clear that Hitler lost the war. Don't you think that motives are very relevant?
