Arafat is ONE guy. That proves absolutely nothing. ALL the Israeli leaders were born elsewhere! By YOUR logic, that destroys their legitimacy.

I'm not an Israeli, a Jew or a Palestinian. But the Israeli claim that the land was "empty", or that a majority of Jews lived there, is ludicrous on it's face. It does nothing to advance the Israeli cause, but it does make them look like liars.
