re: Lets get on with it, right now

doing precisely what?

Well, since I'm from the US I would have the US support my proposal as the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem. Then get the UN to support it, followed by the Arab nations. It would essentially replace the "raodmap" for peace. That would be the relatively easy part - it's hard for huge non-stakeholder organizations to resist a plan that calls for equality of religion/race/ethnicity and democracy for all citizens. I even think the Arab nations would come around to supporting the idea of the disputed land as one country where all religions and people are equal, rather than a "Jewish" nation and a "Muslim" nation. Then you've gotta get the Palestinian leadership and Israeli leadership to buy into it. That's likely much much tougher, but with both Arabs and the UN and the US behind the plan, the two sides choice is complete global isolation or acceptance. But that's the basic starting process.
