The Romans too were driven out of Palestine, actually, out of their Mediterranean empire altogether... So, how about handing Palestine over to the current Roman emperor, Silvius Berlusconius? I'm sure Gianfranco Fini would be glad to serve as Berlusconius' governor of Palestine.
Besides, Muslims were driven out of Andalusia (Spain) in the 1490s... Perhaps Morocco, Algeria, Libya,... should reconquer Andalusia? The Gypsies too were forced out of central India in the 11th century --how about a Gypsie homeland around Bangalore, fully equipped with nuclear weaponry? Likewise, the Greeks were expelled from Constantinople (today's Istanbul) and Anatolia (Niceae, Trebizond,...) during the 15th century....
That's one advantage of being the war averse French. They had the sense to sell us New Orleans and Louisiana, rather than get forcibly kicked out!
