I view as a Mafia boss chieftan--in it solely for personal aggrandizement for him and his mafia underlings. Abbas was one of his cronies and although his intentions might be good, he is too old to effect the change necessary. I think hamas agrees with me on this point as do the israelis. There's your common ground. Hamas should recognize the right of the jewish people to a state but not the borders. There's your grounds for negotiations. Also, Hamas also has to respect the Jewish roligion and stop the bs about the holocaust and blaming jews for tsunamis. I once tried to cause a tsunami myself but wound up flooding my basement. (g)
