You said protectionism started the last depression and this might start another. I pointed out that ALL trade with enemy states is illegal during wartime and this did NOT cause a depression in WW II or Korea or Vietnam. We are at war agan and you wish to trade with enemy states. The United States, even under the UN Charter, has an innate right to defend itself.

If you think self-defense is bigotry, fly to France and tell THAT to the family of that dead Jewish man whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

Maybe you need to read that BBC piece. It appears OBL has put a price on your head and mine.

Let me also point out that I took your attitude until just recently. The London bombings followed by the French riots followed by the Dubai Ports contract pushed me over the edge. If they wish war. let's give it to them! I think a fair number or Europeans are either already fed up or soon will be too.

If they want PEACEFUL trade, they can have it. But the key word is PEACEFUL!
