Avid has had a license to manufacture certain of our cards for about three years. This came about in an attempt to re-start the business relationship between the companies when I joined TRUV. They purchased the majority of their requirements from us in FY1996 but built the majority of their needs in FY1997.

By that time, we had shifted our emphasis with Avid to a joint marketing effort around MCX NT (a new software application which they had developed). We had high hopes that our hardware sales to dealers in conjunction with this new application would offset much of the decline in our OEM business. Unfortunately, the Windows NT market has taken much longer to develop. It does appear that it is finally growing quickly.

Last week, we announced that Avid had selected Truevision for a new program. This will be a 'traditional' OEM relationship (we do the manufacturing) when it ramps up next year.

I hope that helps. Lou.
