I just can't see shelters for battered men every being a big money raiser. Our church supports a local shelter for abused men. When a former pastor cut funding for it because donations were down, a number of us reduced or pledges and earmarked our donations for the shelter. The shelter never knew because they still received donation checks from the church. After he departed under duress, his replacement restored funding and most of us re-pledged the funds. Some people had switched to direct donations.
