I guess you'd prefer I not have an idea for a solution. I must admit that you've made more of an effort than any other liberal (or whatever you define yourself as) on this thread.. Most of them just want to btch and moan... At least you presented a cogent presentation of your views. However, now you must face the same critical analysis of your proposal that the rest of us have had to face for the past several years... I have no problem with seeing criticism for my views and proposals. But BY GOD, I want to see some alternative proposals put forward... I get SO SICK of people who whine like a C-5 Galaxy on take off.. You're not telling me you like Bush's strategy?* It depends upon what you define as being "Bush's Strategy"... My personal view is that we need to remain in Iraq so long as the Iraqi government requests it (or until they ask us to leave). But our "policy" right now is really in the hands of the Iraqis themselves. It is a "gut-check" for them right now.. (as was previously mentioned in another post). Their ability to secure good public order and apprehend the perpetrators of the terrorist acts in recent days will determine the level of public acceptance for their government. Our job is to remain there as the advisor and "reserve of last resort" in case events spin far beyond their control. I think we're adopting the proper policy response right now after the Mosque bombing. Lord only knows what would have happened in Iraq if US forces hadn't been present to calm the leadership down and be rational. Hawk
