Dan Eramian to Join CTI as EVP of Corporate Communications

[Just what they needed? I am surprised that the guy said yes to the proposal. They must have paid him a nice sum to convince him to take on his new mission. Restoring confidence and morale in CTIC should not be the easiest of tasks. Maybe he is looking forward to the challenge. The best way to restore confidence in the company would otherwise have been to follow the advice of the four now departed board members. But I don't think Eramian is going to suggest that].

SEATTLE, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTI) (Nasdaq: CTIC - News) today announced that Dan Eramian, former Vice President of Communications at Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), will join the Company in early March as Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications. Eramian will serve as a member of the Company's senior management team and will be responsible for developing and implementing the internal and external communications strategy. Eramian brings nearly 13 years of experience in the biotechnology industry to the position.

Most recently Eramian was Vice President of Communications at BIO, a Washington, DC-based industry organization representing more than 1,200 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations. Prior to BIO, Eramian was Assistant Administrator of Communications at the Small Business Administration and Director of Public Affairs at the Department of Justice and Chief Spokesman for the Attorney General.
