The whole thing of counting how many people participate and sorting them as to color is just plain silly, IMO.
If we are really trying to become unbiased, we shouldn't ever be paying attention to color, race, religion, etc etc.
People are as they are. People.
If, however, we want to continue with bias, bigotry, and all the other "unpleasantism's", we can continue talking about percentage of population such and such a group is, or how many worldwide a particular race, creed, religion has in the world, then the particular country, and do the percentages....see if there is anything new there.
For instance, Muslims represent a LARGE share of the worlds people. How many Muslims were in the Olympics?
Does Mr. Gumble know?
It is all just plain silly. Skin colors shouldn't even be talked about. What is the person behind the skin color like? Who are they? |
